After having the console at his church rebuilt and learning that we now offered Reed and Pump Organ repair, Mr. Gerald Buck contacted us about rebuilding his Story & Clark reed organ.  We were more than happy to do so.

Ultimately, the entire instrument was rebuilt.  The old cabinet finish was removed and the cabinet was completely refinished.  The mechanism was rebuilt from the ground up, including replacing all felts and bushings.  The bellows was recovered with new straps provided.  Each reed was removed, cleaned, repaired and re-voiced.  The key coverings were buffed and polished and new drawknob faces were installed.  Missing dentil moldings were custom created as was the stencil of "Story & Clark, Chicago, Ill" as this was eliminated during the refinishing process.  The pump shoes were cleaned, polished and painted. Victorian era carpeting replaced what had been on the shoes as well.  A small suction motor was added so now the organ can be played either traditionally or with the motor doing the hard work.
